     Jean Rodrigue was born circa 1641 at Lisbonne, Portugal.3 Jean Rodrigue was a sailor. It was therefore likely exercised this trade in New France. He arrivedin New France around 1668, his first land acquisition took place the same year or the following year, when John Juchereau granted him land at Cap-Rouge. In the years that followed, he made several purchases and sales of land.

1668-1669 - A land grant by Mr. Jean Juchereau, sieur de Maure, Rivière-aux-Roches in Cap-Rouge

July 14, 1670 - He sold this land to Peter Renaud

July 20, 1670 - He bought land located in St-Ange du Cap-Rouge from Isaac Harnois (Audouart contract) the same day at the same notary, he signed an acknowledgment of debt of £ 150 to the same place Isaac Harnois

1670? - He bought the land from his neighbor

July 21, 1671 - A land exchange with Savarypour François for land that Jean owns in the lordship of Mr. toLa Durantaye (contract Rageot.)2 He married Anne Le Roy, daughter of François Le Roy and Anne Bourdais, on 28 October 1671 at Québec City, Québec, Canada.1,4 When he was more advanced in age, Jean Rodrigue began to dispose of his lands, to further increase its revenues, of course, but probably also to give his son a few plots of land. Finally, in the last years of his life, he gave his children so they can take care of him and his wife.2 Jean Rodrigue died on 14 November 1720 at Beauport, Québec, Canada.3
